Q: What hours is breakfast served and what is the cost?
A: Continental breakfast is served in the café from 6:30 to 1:00 Mon-Friday; cost ranges from $.75 to $3.00. Full breakfast, which is available twice a month, costs $3.50.

Q: What hours is lunch served and what is the cost?
A: Lunch served by the students is open 11:00 to 12:30 Mon-Fri when the school is in session.

Q: Is catering available?
A: Catering is available for non profit organizations. Please contact Lisa Borruso at 377-0915 or Chef Geri Leonard at 377-0941.

Q: Can I transfer credit from another culinary school?
A: Credit does not transfer but our program is competency based and knowledge on competencies can be credited.

Q: Do you have on-the -job or work experience opportunities?
A: Yes; after 750 hours in the program you can be placed on a co-op and learn while you work.

Q: What certification can I obtain through the culinary program at LWIT?
A: You can receive a certificate of completion, serv-safe food managers certification, National Technical Honor Society, and various awards.

Q: What supplies and books are needed for culinary class?
A: A full chef's uniform, textbooks, thermometer, tablespoons, notebook and markers. All are available at our bookstore or local uniform supply store.

Q: Do you have any articulations with other colleges?
A: We articulate with Johnson and Wales, as well as with some state colleges.
