Q: Do you have classes to teach English?
A: Yes, we have Day and Eveing classes:
- For LWIT Day classes please call (239)377-0964 and leave your name and phone number. We can answer your questions in multiple languages. LWIT Day classes are M-F 8AM to 2PM. A flexible schedule is possible: 12, 20, or 25 hours per week.
- For LWIT Evening classes please call (239)377-0962 and leave your name and phone number. We can answer your questions in multiple languages. LWIT Evening classes are M-TH 6PM to 8:30PM.
Q: How many levels are there in the class?
A: There are four levels: High Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and Proficient
Q: What tests do I need to take?
A: All students take an Oral exam and both a Listening and Reading test. Advanced and proficient level students, preparing to enroll in a technical program, GED class or planning on attending a university take the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) test.
Q: What will I learn in the class?
A: Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills with vocabulary development, spelling and dictation drills, pronunciation exercises for accent reduction, open conversation practices, reading comprehension and professional writing techniques.
Q: What is the cost?
A: The class is free. You pay $5.00 for your identification badge. You must also pay for your books.
