Lorenzo Walker Institute Announces Scholarship Winners

The Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology is pleased to announce it has awarded fifteen scholarships to graduating Collier County Public Schools seniors. These scholarships, funded thanks to the generosity of the Walker family and in honor of James Lorenzo Walker, will assist these students in their pursuit of advanced education here in Collier County.

These students have indicated their intention to enroll in specialized programs ranging from computer technology or business education, to nursing, aviation, automotive or marine service, and culinary arts. Each is a postsecondary program that will result in industry-recognized certifications or licensure, making graduates eligible, upon completion of their program, for immediate employment in their field. Students who choose to pursue further education will be able to enter a range of college or university programs with advanced standing, as their studies at LWIT can result in the granting of college credit at a range of institutions in Florida.

We're pleased to congratulate the following CCPS graduating seniors:

From Gulf Coast High School: David Cepeck, Jr.; Frank Merritt; Daphne Quezada
