How to apply for certification programs

  • Come to the LWIT campus, 3702 Estey Avenue and meet with a counselor.
    • Counselor's hours: Mon - Thu: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
      Fri: 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Individuals with special needs or concerns may be referred to appropriate LWIT staff
  • Complete an application, pay a $20.00 application fee and make an appointment to take the Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE) test. If you possess a college degree from an accredited U.S. school at the associate in applied science (AAS) or higher you are exempt from the TABE test but still must complete the application and pay the application fee.
  • Testing days and times - Tuesday or Thursday 8:15 a.m. or 5:45 p.m. (Pre-Registration required) This computerized test will last approximately 2 hours and cover reading, math and language skills. (Self-paced remediation is available before you take the test.)
  • After the TABE meet a with counselor to discuss your scores, options and any other requirements to enroll at LWIT
  • If needed, talk to the financial aid office about financial aid and scholarship options.

How to apply for continuing workforce classes

  • See the course offerings on our website under the Workforce link.
  • Come to the LWIT campus at 3702 Estey Avenue, Building #1 to register and pay for your class: Mon. - Thurs 7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. or Fri. 7:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
