Services

Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology, a public, not-for-profit institution provides low cost services to the Collier community. Services are provided by LWIT students under the direct supervisor of the instructor. A small price is charged to recoup the cost of materials and support the clinical/lab portion of the curriculum. Our curriculum includes academics and practical hands-on training. We invite you to visit us and take advantage of these great amenities! Tipping is not allowed but donations to the program are accepted. Days and times for services are based on the LWIT school calendar.

Rev your motors – let our Automotive Service Technology students put your car back in excellent working condition! Services available vary based upon current student expertise and at a minimal cost (for example, how about a brake job for just $10 per axle, plus parts). Services are available by appointment Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please call (239)377-0947 to schedule an appointment or to obtain additional information.

Our cosmetology students provide hair, manicure, pedicure and facial services at minimal costs. Manicure, pedicure, facial and some hair services may not always be available do to curriculum constraints.
The Salon is open:
Tuesday through Thursday, from 9:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
Friday from 9:00a.m. to 12:15p.m.

Enjoy a gourmet meal for $4.00 or try one of the pastries made from scratch or a fresh salad prepared by our Commercial Foods & Culinary Arts students. Visit us most Mondays through Thursdays between 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information on our on-campus meals, please call (239)377-0941.

Want to stop PC failure now? Call the Computer Systems Technology class, where we put the "tech" in "technical". Services include hardware and software upgrades and repairs, virus and malware detection and removal, and network support. No labor fees; a $5 shop charge for consumables; and parts purchased at cost-plus-shipping (or provide your own) get your problem solved! Services are available by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. We cannot make delivery or house calls, so please call 239-377-0936 for information and an appointment.

Wanting to make waves, but having trouble with your boat or other marine equipment? Let our Marine Service Technology students provide engine or electrical repair, or accessory installation. Opening a work order costs $5.00, and then customers pay for parts and a minimal handling fee. Services are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., by appointment. Our massage therapy students are "kneading" to take away your pain! You can have a Massage are under the supervision of a highly trained instructor for only $20.00.
