Blogs
Blogs, or weblogs, are websites created by individuals to express their commentaries, personal thoughts, and reflections - with the added capability to engage readers through comment opportunities.
We invite you to read, interact with, and subscribe to our blogs. Keep an eye out for new blogs with classroom applications!
From the Principal's Desk - Jeanette Johnson's weblog offers our Principal's perspective on "challenge your mind, pursue your passion."
Lorenzo Walker Technical HS & Institute of Tech - Our Media Specialist's blog, with periodic guest publishers, focuses on library book reviews as well as literacy, technology and learning issues.
LWTHS English - Ms. Gilcher's English class blog.
Ms Cowburn at Masaya Volcano - Our 9th grade Geography teacher, Holly Cowburn, shares her incredible Earthwatch expedition March 2008 to Nicaragua
Wikis
Like blogs, wikis are websites that can be easily edited and updated. However, wikis are designed to be open and collaborative, rather than personal, in nature. Wikis can also be used as a central site to store digital information for students to review. Most of our classroom wikis are currently password-protected.
Lorenzo Walker Media Center - This wiki was created as a portal for Lorenzo Walker students to use as a portal for research.
Lorenzo Walker Professional Learning Communities - A wiki for developing professional learning communities with our faculty.
Wikis for Lorenzo Walker Campus - Here's the "wiki of the wikis," a place where all wikis related to Lorenzo Walker teaching, learning, and administration are linked.
